Cost effective: A cold-rolled steel frame building is accurately cut & holed to size while manufacturing therefore next to no on-site wasteage, it is extremely high-strength light gauge steelwork which weighs much less than the equivalent hot-rolled steel therefore less plant & labour intensive for erecting resulting in overall cost savings.
Safe and resistant: A cold-rolled steel frame building is conspicuously more fire resistant than a timber frame construction and is furthermore unaffected by termites, bugs or rodents as well as mould or fungi. What are domestic steel buildings?
They are buildings which are constructed with a cold rolled steel frame. The galvanised metal is pressed through a pair of rollers, which reduces the thickness whilst increasing the strength. Because this is carried out without heating the metal, the result is a building material with a high strength-to-weight ratio. The flattened metal is used to construct a framework for the building, which can have a span of up to 20 metres and a height of up to 6 metres to the eaves. This framework is then covered with a cladding which makes the building watertight. Our basic option is the single skin cladding, comprising a roof and wall system made from hot dip galvanised steel, with an anti-condensation lining provided for the roof to prevent dripping. Our other options include cladding made from composite insulated panels, which provide superior thermal performance, all in a range of colour options which can be mixed with different flashings and gutter colours to provide a truly bespoke building if desired. Other options, like roof lighting, are available on request.
